SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Friday night was very rough with storms moving throughout the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry.
Driving in parts of Savannah was more like boating. Many of the intersections were underwater.
Victory drive at MLK was among the worst of it.
Some drivers risked it and drove through the mess. Others decided to pull over and wait the storm out.
"The wind was real strong, dark clouds, and kinda scary," said Steve Silba of Savannah.
The intersection at Victory and Abercorn street were also underwater early Friday night. But soon after the rain slowed, the water finally drained.
