GA churches remembers troops serving their country

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) – Churches in Savannah, and throughout Georgia, will take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices being made by soldiers overseas and at home.

Sunday, through the efforts of State House candidate and army veteran Tawana Garrett, and John Hancock, brother of a fallen soldier, churches throughout the state will hold a "day of prayer" for military troops.

Moments of silence will be held at New Birth Savannah, Trinity Unity, Alpha United Methodist, Port Wentworth Alliance, North Salem Baptist and Bonnybridge Baptist in Savannah.
