SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The November election is fast approaching. One lawmaker says this one could be one of the most pivotal.
US senator from Georgia, Johnny Isakson, says Americans want a solution to unemployment and the economy. He says the answer is to generate jobs in private business, not in the federal government. He also says voters are angry over the political gridlock.
"I think the people who have pushed for more government and a more pervasive health care system and government take over of healthcare won't be successful, but those who have been trying to empower the private sector and keep taxes where they are will be more successful," said Isakson.
Isakson was in Statesboro speaking to the Statesboro Rotary Club Monday evening.
