SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Three teens were charged with burglary after a witness and police community resource officer helped nab them.
Someone saw the break-in and called 911. A resource officer then overheard the radio call and saw one of the teens running with the television and reported it. Patrol officers and the Downtown Precinct's Special Operations Units working the area around the 500 Block of East Hall Street where the burglary took place and immediately surrounded the area, according to the Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Dept.
Two burglary suspects were captured after a brief foot chase. The third teen was identified as a participant of the Savannah Impact Program and was tracked down with the ankle bracelet he was wearing as part of the program.
The television and an X-Box reported stolen from the burglarized house were recovered behind a church near Gwinnett and Price streets, according to police.
Eric Bowens and Curtis Patterson, both 17, and Armon Osborne, 18, were arrested and charged with burglary. Bowens is a participant in the Savannah Impact Program.
