A nurse at Beaufort Memorial said a patient there was driving a red truck on I-95 North near mile marker 29 when he had accident. He was transported by EMS to Beaufort Memorial on Aug. 29 at about 6 pm. When the tow truck driver arrived, he said that it looked like the man was traveling with a dog but he could not find one anywhere. The man is currently in PCU at Beaufort Memorial (522-5271/72) and is just waking up.
The dog is a female Bassett about 5 years old; she is white and tan in color. He said she has a black collar with expired tags (not sure where they are from) and her name is Suzzie.
