Coming up on THE News: Earl stirs up rip currents

Dangerous rip currents and high surf advisories have been issued for areas along the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry as a result of Hurricane Earl. WTOC's Don Logana is looking at whether the area's dodging the storm is good for small businesses on Tybee Island. Lowcountry reporter Jaime Dailey is at Hilton Head Island looking at surf conditions there.

On the first day of school in Chatham County, the Emergency 911 Communications Center was clogged with non-emergency calls. WTOC's Michelle Paynter is looking into the problem and you'll hear some of the 911 calls.
