Plan could help kayakers navigate Georgia's coast

RICHMOND HILL, GA (WTOC) - Officials are trying to make it easier and safer for kayakers to navigate our coastal waterways.

The Coastal Regional Commission is putting together an official guide for a saltwater paddling trail stretching the entire length of the Georgia coast. The project would be funded by the Department of Natural Resources through a coastal incentive grant.

You can review the proposed plan and make suggestions at a meeting Thursday, September 2 in Richmond Hill. It's from 6 to 8 PM at the Wetlands Education Center, located in J.F. Gregory Park.
