SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - A Savannah man turned himself in to the Savannah-Chatham Metro Police after trying to cash a fraudulent check.
Police say the 40-year-old Quintrell Emmanuel Roundtree attempted to cash a check allegedly written by attorney Michael G. Hostilo at a package store. The clerk was supicious and called the law firm, who immediately confirmed that the check was counterfeit.
Roundtree left the package store and the clerk called police. Police obtained a warrant for his arrest.
The Financial Crimes Division reports that other counterfeit have surfaced and the investigation is ongoing.
