This traditional, final holiday of the summer season is a day in tribute to all those Americans who work, and those who genuinely want to, the latter battling against the Administration's private-sector, job-killing agenda, waged to halt and dismantle the free-enterprise system that built America into the envy of the non-Marxist world, a steadfast, generational-beacon of liberty, innovation, prosperity, and unprecedented generosity.  The hard work, dedication, skill, creativity, and risk-taking of America's business founders, leaders and employees have combined to make, and keep it so.

But despite the worst efforts of the current menagerie of inept, self-glorifying, federal leaders, to stomp on the historic structural and will-of-the-people traditions of our truly-exceptional nation, paying homage to a redistribution icon named Karl, there remains one stand-out labor sector that continues to reflect the true character, courage, spirit and sacrifice that defines America's greatness.  They are the heroic labor force that enables the rest of us to work and live freely. The steely, unbending backbone of our nation, today, standing alone in that category.  These very special American workers are, of course, the courageous men and women of our five military branches.  Since the birth of our country, right through to the present, it's our mighty military that makes possible, here on earth, all that we do and possess.  Pause to thank God for the gift and privilege it is to live in this, His blessed land of liberty. Then remember, each day, our military members, both deployed and at home, and be thankful.  Thankful for these men and women, past and present, who labor with honor, so bravely, so unselfishly, facing untold sacrifice, to secure our nation and keep us, forever free.
