Robbery suspects sought in store clerk's shooting

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Two robbery suspects are sought in connection with the shooting of a convenience store clerk during a holdup Sunday morning.

Savannah-Chatham Metro police were responding to reports of shots being fired in the area of Paradise Park at about 6:15 a.m. Sunday when they got a call of a shooting at the Circle K Convenience Store in the 9800 block of White Bluff Drive, according to police.

Authorities said two men demanded money from the clerk. Police arrived to find a female clerk with a gunshot wound.

SCMPD canine unit searched the area but was unable to follow the scent through the park.

The victim was taken by ambulance to Memorial University Medical Center, where she was treated and released.
