SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - In Georgia, there were 13 traffic deaths reported from crashes investigated by law enforcement agencies, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
GSP investigated 360 traffic crashes over the 78-hour Labor Day holiday travel period, of which resulted in 211 injuries and 10 fatalities, GSP data show. The Labor Day holiday travel period began at 6 p.m. Sept. 3 and ended at midnight on Labor Day.
At least four traffic deaths may have involved an alcohol or drug impaired driver.
Two people were killed while riding bicycles, two were operating a motorcycle, one was a passenger on an all-terrain vehicle, and one was a pedestrian, the GSP reported.
