SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Boaters lined up around the Lowcountry to take part in boat inspections courtesy of the Department of Natural Resources.
More than five boat landings across the region were set up with DNR officers to help captains ensure their boat is ready for the water. Not only are the inspections saving boaters money, but by catching possible violations before they happen but also saving them time on the water.
The DNR has been doing courtesy boat inspections across South Carolina for more than five years. They are checking for the right safety equipment, lifejackets and registration.
