5 Ridgeland men charged after drug bust

RIDGELAND, SC (WTOC) - Five Ridgeland men were arrested on drug charges in connection with a bust by the Beaufort/Jasper Multi Agency Drug Task Force on Saturday.

Beaufort/Jasper Multi Agency Drug Task Force carried out a search warrant at about 5 a.m. Sept. 4 at 768 Captain Bill Rd. in Ridgeland.

Agents seized an estimated 58 grams crack cocaine; about 10 grams of cocaine; an estimated 20 grams of marijuana; about 70 grams of Xanax, Oxycontin, Oxycodone; and $6,249, according to the Beaufort Co. Sheriff's Office.

Nathaniel  D. Wright, 26, was charged with trafficking crack cocaine; trafficking schedule IV (Xanax); simple possession of marijuana; possession of cocaine.

Derick L. Wright, 30, was charged with possession of cocaine; simple possession of marijuana; trafficking scheduled II (Oxycodone).

Duwad Fletcher, 32, was arched with trafficking crack cocaine; possession of cocaine; simple possession of marijuana; trafficking schedule IV (Xanax).

Antonio Lexiz, 27, was charged with trafficking crack cocaine; possession of cocaine; simple possession of marijuana; trafficking schedule IV (Xanax).

Antwain Drake, 22, was charged with possession with Intent to distribute crack cocaine; simple possession of marijuana; possession of cocaine; possession with intent to distribute schedule II (Oxycontin).

    After years of an almost complete moratorium, the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council voted 12 to 1 Monday to open a limited 2017 red snapper fishing season in the South Atlantic. If approved by NOAA Fisheries, the season will likely begin in mid-to late October.
