POOLER, GA (WTOC) - You may want to head to the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum for lunch.
That's because a new restaurant just opened up.
Miss Sophie's is now serving up a mix of British fare and Southern cuisine. You can enjoy your lunch inside a pub at the museum that resembles the pub's our service men visited while overseas during World War II.
Teri Bell just opened the restaurant and says she couldn't be more honored to serve veterans and visitors alike.
"It is a beautiful place," said Bell. "It has a wonderful kitchen. It is a great place to meet visitors, people that are traveling, servicemen, learn about our history and do what I love most, feed them."
Miss Sophie's at the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum in Pooler serves up lunch Monday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m.
