EFFINGHAM CO., GA (WTOC) – Five people were arrested on drug charges in two busts this week by the Effingham County Sheriff's Office Drug Suppression Unit.
Investigators located a methamphetamine lab on Sept. 7 near the intersection of Brittingham and Archer Roads in Effingham County.
The Effingham County Sheriff's Office said that Brandon Smith, 25, of Rincon, and Johnathan Tebeau, 25, of Springfield, were connected to that lab and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and trafficking methamphetamine.
Sheriff's investigators worked with Rincon police investigators on Sept. 8 to locate meth lab at a home in the 400 block of Mclaws Road in Effingham County.
William Frank Davis, 23, of Guyton, and Dean Collum, 49, of Guyton, were both arrested in connection with that lab and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.
Jessica Schultz, 25, of Port Wentworth, was also arrested and charged with unlawful possession of pseudoephedrine.
The lab was discovered after a local pharmacy contacted the ECSO's Drug Suppression Team about a person who was on a watch list for purchasing pseudoephedrine.
Davis and Smith had been recently released from jail for recent methamphetamine charges.
All five people arrested are being held in the Effingham County Jail.
