Hostage situation at Fort Stewart ends peacefully -- Authorities on Fort Stewart are investigating a hostage situation that occurred Monday morning.

Second arrest made in Bulloch County murder -- The Bulloch County Sheriff's Office arrested two individuals they say were involved in the murder of 26-year-old Johnathan Sheffield.

2 meth labs busted in Effingham County -- Five people were arrested on drug charges in two busts this week by the Effingham County Sheriff's Office Drug Suppression Unit.

Man charged with sexual exploitation of a child -- The Long County sheriff's department says an Arizona man made plans online to meet the girl with an interest in sexual activity. He then flew to Georgia to meet her, all the way from Arizona.

Quinones makes first court appearance -- The man accused of taking hostages on Fort Stewart on Monday had his first appearance in federal court Wednesday afternoon.

    On Sunday afternoon WTOC ventured to Forsyth Park to see how people were beating the heat.  Despite a heat advisory being in effect until 8 p.m., children were enjoying the splash pad, while others were brave enough to play volleyball.
