ISLE OF HOPE, GA (WTOC) - Some Isle of Hope business's are closing early due to not having any water.

Crews were out working early Wednesday morning trying make drainage improvements in the area.

In preparation, the Isle of Hope Child Development Center stored water in garbage cans, coolers and jugs in order to make it through the morning.

The center which cares for children closed it's doors at noon.

"We have enough water supplied to last until 12:00pm, after that the children will be going home, so we won't have to worry about that," said the Director of the Isle of Hope Child Development Center. "We have a lot of water stored up in trash cans and coolers, and wherever we could think to store it."

Water service is turned off at residences and businesses east of Parkersburg road to the river until 7:00pm.
