Teen critically injured in early-morning stabbing

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - A 14-year-old boy is in critical condition after an argument turned violent.

Savannah-Chatham metro police detectives are investigating an early-morning stabbing.

Police were called just after 3 a.m. to the 700 Block of Harmon Street on report of a person bleeding. Officers there saw a vehicle leaving the area at a high rate of speed, and within minutes received a call that the victim was at Memorial University Medical Center.

Detectives determined that the victim and the suspect, 24-year-old Jerale Williams, were involved in an argument, resulting in the suspect stabbing the victim, according to the SCMPD.

Williams is wanted on charges of aggravated assault. Those with information on his whereabouts can call Crimestoppers at 912.234.2020 or text CRIMES (274637) and in the body type "CStop2020" plus the tip. Tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash award.
