Early voting starts Monday in Chatham Co.

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Early voting in Chatham County will begin on Sept. 20 and run through Oct. 22.

Those eligible electors who want  to vote early at this time can do it in person from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Voter Registration Main Office at 1117 Eisenhower Dr., Suite E in Savannah.

Absentee ballots issued through the mail will be available beginning on Sept. 20 through Friday, Oct. 29. Eligible voters who want to request an absentee ballot through the mail must submit a written request using the following methods:

  • Download a form from the Secretary of State's website, fill it out and submit it to the Voter Registration Office. The request form may be downloaded from the Secretary of State's website: http://sos.georgia.gov/elections/voter_information/absentee_ballot_app.pdf
  • The written request that must state the voter's name, address, date of birth, date of the election for which the voter is requesting a ballot, and the voter's signature.
