SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Four out of five car seats not installed correctly and car crashes are the leading cause of death for children 3 to 14 years old, according to data from Safe Kids Savannah.
The organization is offering a free child safety seat check as part of the as part of National Child Passenger Safety Awareness Week which takes place from Sept. 19-25.
The seat checks take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 25 in the parking lot of the Nancy N. and J.C. Lewis Cancer and Research Pavilion across from Candler Hospital on Reynolds Street in Savannah.
