Beaufort man gets 4 nominations for film festival

BEAUFORT, SC (WTOC) – A Beaufort man has been nominated for four awards by the American International Film Festival.

Michael Givens, writer, director and cinematographer of "Angel Camouflaged," was nominated for Best Picture, Best Actress, Dilana; Best Use of Music; and Best New Filmmaker.

"Angel Camouflaged" includes an impressive cast including James Brolin, Warrick Grier, Carlos Bernard , Terry Serpico and Dilana. The music for "Angel Camouflaged" was composed and performed by Dilana.

The award show takes place Friday.

Givens next project, which is in production, includes "Opposite Day" starring French Stewart, Pauly Shore, Ariel Winter, and Billy Unger.  The comedy involves kids becoming the adults and the adults take their place resulting in a town run by kid cops, kid fireman, kid judges, kid lawyers and more.  Givens also recently began working on "Jigsaw," which was written by Ted M. Brogden.
