EFFINGHAM CO., GA (WTOC) – Three people were arrested after methamphetamine labs were busted over two days by the Effingham County Sheriff's Office Drug Suppression Unit.
Investigators located a meth lab Tuesday night at a home in the 400 block of High Bluff Road. Joseph Burnsed, 31, of Rincon, was arrested and charged with criminal attempt to manufacture methamphetamine.
Investigators found a meth lab Wednesday morning in 900 block of Deerfield Road East. Several items were found in the home that indicated methamphetamine had been manufactured, according to the sheriff's office.
Ashley Scarborough, 27, of Bloomingdale, was arrested and charged with criminal attempt to manufacture methamphetamine.
Scarborough had been on probation for methamphetamine charges at the time of her arrest.
Deputies located a meth lab Wednesday afternoon in the closet of the master bedroom and a large quantity of meth at a home in the 800 block of Highway 80.
Alison Maddox, 25, of Bloomingdale, was arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and manufacturing methamphetamine in the presence of a child. Authorities said that this meth lab was located within feet of a sleeping 1-year-old child.
More arrests are pending in these cases.
