SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The combat mission in Iraq is over, but the mission to get our men and women home, including millions of pieces of United States equipment is just getting started.

WTOC spoke with Col. Shawn Morrissey, commander of the Third Sustainment Brigade, to see how thier mission is going.

"We're very proud of what our soldiers have done in 3rd Sustainment Brigade and for many of them this is their second, third, fourth deployment," Col. Morrissey told WTOC. "So not only to the great things they have done, but really a message back to their families, because without our families back home, the young soldiers and even the older ones really wouldn't be able to do what they do."

Col. Morrissey said in four months the soldiers have traveled more than a million miles through Bahgdad and nothern Iraq moving equipment.
