SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) – A flood watch remains in effect through Monday afternoon for Toombs County.
The National Weather Service said a stationary front across central Georgia will continue and as the upper system rotates across the area, deep Gulf moisture and strong dynamics will combine to produce widespread rain with heavy rain showers and thunderstorms.
Two to 3 inches of rain fell Sunday across central Georgia. An additional 1 to 2 inches is possible Monday. This additional rainfall could lead to minor flooding of creeks and streams across the watch area.
