LIBERTY CO., GA (WTOC/AP) - A coroner has confirmed that a body found Wednesday morning is that of 42-year-old Lori Arrowood.

Long County coroner Emmett Patterson told the Associated Press that a body was found Wednesday in a wooded area near a rural highway in Long County.

Kenneth Lumpkin was arrested by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and charged with murder.

WTOC has confirmed that Lumpkin was an employee at the Liberty Co. Jail. Ward said Arrowood and Lumpkin knew each other. He did not say what the motive was or how she was killed.

Investigators said that evidence found at Arrowood's home pointed to Lumpkin, but they wouldn't say what that was. They said he had been there on Saturday to help with electrical repairs. Arrowood was last seen at her home early Saturday.

Friends tell WTOC that Lumpkin was among the 100 volunteers who helped search for Arrowood earlier this week.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation joined the investigation Monday after a request from the Liberty County Sheriff's Office. On Tuesday, an interview was conducted by both GBI and Liberty County Sheriff's Office.

Late Tuesday evening, Lumpkin was taken into custody and is being held in the Wayne County Jail.

GBI agents and Liberty County Sheriff's deputies brought a crime scene unit to Arrowood's house just after 9 p.m. Tuesday. Investigators set up their equipment and started looking in and around the house for any piece of evidence in Arrowood's disappearance.

More than 100 soldiers who serve with Arrowood's husband came out Monday to help with the search. On Tuesday, a team of soldiers and professional searchers wrapped up their final acre in the search for Arrowood. The county's emergency crews scaled back their massive search Tuesday afternoon.
