SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) – An investigation continues into the collision between a car and motorcycle that shut down Highway 17 Northbound at Highway 204 for more than two hours Thursday morning.
Police were called at about 6:30 a.m. Thursday to a crash between a 1978 Chevrolet Camaro and Harley-Davidson motorcycle. SCMPD Major Accident Investigations Team responded.
Police said the Camaro was in the turn left lane on Hwy 17 and was trying to turn on to Hwy 204, when he was struck by a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle that was traveling north on Highway 17 and was driven by Rodney Clark, 46, of Midway.
Clark was ejected from the motorcycle. He was taken to Memorial University Medical Center, where he's in critical condition.
