THUNDERBOLT, GA (WTOC) – Thunderbolt is hosting an event for residents to meet their neighbors, town staff, police, firefighters the mayor and the council. Thunderbolt Night Out is from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 5.
The town is hosting the event now because National Night Out is in August, which typically is the hottest month of the year. Organizations such as the Chatham County Emergency Management Agency will provide information for residents.
There will be free hotdogs and birthday cake as part of the celebration of the Thunderbolt Neighborhood Watch. There will be door prizes and students' artwork will be on display. Prizes will be awarded for the artwork for each age group.
