STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) - Candidates from all over Georgia were in Statesboro this weekend.
Twenty candidates running for state and federal office stopped by to speak to the crowd at the Statesboro farmers market. Afterward, they mingled with folks to answer their questions.
Organizers say voters need this kind of direct contact with the candidates who want their vote.
"I think people want to be able to hear from a candidate and be able to walk across and ask their opponent how they feel on the same issue," said Per Holtze, the event co-organizer.
The drop-in forum was sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Bulloch program.
