SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) – The Chatham County Emergency Management Agency is planning its 2011 hurricane conference is seeking speakers and input on topics to be presented at the event.
The CEMA Hurricane Conference is designed specifically for public safety and emergency response personnel and not intended for the general public. It will take place May 24 at the International Trade and Convention Center on Hutchinson Island. The conference focuses on preparedness, response and recovery in the event a hurricane impacts Chatham County.
The conference provides tools and resources needed to enhance current plans and is a forum to discuss and exchange ideas to improve hurricane planning.
CEMA is looking for presentation ideas for the conference. Submissions must include: the type of presentation (workshop or generation session; the topic the session will cover (see list below); and contact information. Deadline is Nov. 1. Email submissions to CEMA at ChathamCounty.org.
