SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - School board members, district employees and students spent Wednesday morning at the Woodville Thompinks Technical and Career Institute to talk about how they can improve student behavior. They also wanted to get reaction on the Passport to Excellence program which was implemented this school year.

Superintendent Dr. Thomas Lockamy says he is really interested in hearing input from his students.

"I also want to hear from students who have been with the disciplinary process so I can hear from them, how did they get there and what caused that and when and how we can help turn that around and get their input to improving our code of conduct as well," Dr. Thomas Lockamy told WTOC.

Lockamy says the district has made improvements in the number of interactions on a yearly basis. He is looking forward to holding retreats, like the one the held on Wednesday, to get as much input as he can regarding disciplinary concerns.
