SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Dozens gathered in Sandfly for the annual Lindsapalooza. Folks feasted on lots of food while listening to live bands.
It was all part of a fundraiser for Lindsey's Place. A group that's trying to raise enough money to start a camp in the Southeast for children with special needs.
"Kids need a place to go and have fun and have friends, and have something to look forward to and we didn't have something in the South, that we could incorporate kids with all types of disabilities, not just one thing or another. It doesn't matter what you have going on you have a place to come and have a good time," Donna Hart, the organizer for the event.
Lindsey's Place hopes to hold a mini weekend get away sometime next spring.
