SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Lost, but never forgotten.

A family is still clinging to hope to find a mother and her daughter.

Ronkeya Holmes disappeared one year ago along with her 3-year-old daughter as they traveled to Winter Haven, Florida.

The family held a vigil in Forsyth Park on Monday night in their honor with hopes of bringing them home safely.

Many family members focused on a new development in the case.

Police searched Lester Ross' home on Friday in Winter Haven, Florida. He is the 3-year-old's father and Holmes' ex boyfriend.

Family members say they have always suspected Ross had something to do with the disappearance. They hope Friday's search will uncover new evidence.

"I was glad to hear about Friday's development because now at least we can get a little bit of closure out of it and if we don't find anything then there is hope," Ronkeya's mother Edith Fletcher said.

Family members say they won't give up until there is a break in the case.
