Special Election - Special 1% Sales and Use Tax for Effingham County

"Shall a special one percent sales and use tax be imposed in the special district of Effingham County for a period of time not to exceed five years and for the purpose of raising not more than $70,000 for the funding of (1) a county jail, road, streets, and bridges, drainage capital outlay projects, public building capital outlay projects, and vehicles and heavy equipment capital outlay projects for Effingham County; (2) roads, streets, and bridges, recreation capital outlay projects, public safety capital outlay projects, and water and sewer capital outlay projects for the city of Guyton; (3) roads, streets, and bridges, drainage capital outlay projects, public building capital outlay projects, public safety capital outlay projects, water and sewer capital outlay projects, and recreation capital outlay projects for the City of Rincon; and (4) roads, streets, and bridges, public buildings capital outlay projects, public safety capital outlay projects, recreation capital outlay projects, and water and sewer capital outlay projects for the City of Springfield?" Special Election - Special 1% Sales and Use Tax for Effingham County Board of Education

"Shall one percent sales and use tax for educational purposes be imposed in the Effingham County School District for a period of time not to exceed  twenty consecutive calendar quaters and for the raising of not more than $75,000,000 for the purpose of funding the following capital outlay projects at a maximum of $75,000,000: (I) aquiring, constructing, and equipping a new school elementary school, a new middle school, a new high school, and a new maintenance warehouse/ bus shop; (II) acquiring land for Effingham County School District operations, including future school sites; (III) acquiring title to Marlow Elementary School by making payments on an installment sales agreement between the Effingham County School District and the Georgia Boards Association, Inc.; and (IV) adding to, remodeling, renovating, improving, and equipping existing educational buildings, properties, and facilities of the Effingham County School District and acquiring any necessary real property, personal property or equipment therefor, including school buses, maintenance vehicles, grounds care / landscaping equipment, textbooks and other intructional equipment, vocational equipment, band equipment, athletic and physical education equipment, furniture, computer and related technology, copiers, energy efficiency and management systems, heating and air conditioning systems, lighting, security and safety equipment, and similar equipment, adding fixed portable classrooms, renovating restrooms, kitchens and cafeterias, installing and/or replacing flooring and floor coverings, replacing roofs, doors and windows, painting, paving, upgrading water and/or sewage systems and oxidation ponds, installing and/or replacing fencing, upgrading playgrounds, upgrading landscaping and grounds, constructing and/or renovating lawn storage facilities, constructing, renovating and/or expanding althetic and physical education facilities (including, but not limited to, gymnasiums, athletic fields, field houses, bleachers, concessions, and restrooms), and/or otherwise adding to, remodeling, renovating, improving or equiping various schools and school related facilities, to include Blandford Elementary School, Ebenezer Elementary School, Guyton Elementary School, Marlow Elementary School, Rincon Elementary School, Sandhill Elementary School, South Effingham Elementary School, Springfield Elementary School, Ebenezer Elementary Middle School, Effingham County Middle School (new), South Effingham Middle School, Effingham County High School, South Effingham High School, Central Learning Center, Marlow Learning Center, Effingham Middle School (old), Career Academy, Board of Education Central Office, and Bus Shop, all as described in the published notice of election?"
