Lawmakers still looking into speeding controversy

RIDGELAND, SC (WTOC) - Back in August, the Town of Ridgeland was caught in the middle of a speeding controversy. State lawmakers are still looking into the legality of the speed cameras on Interstate 95 through the town.

Lawmakers are considering legistlastion to outlaw it.

An amendment to a state transportation bill last year made it clear that cameras could be used to enforce traffic laws only under very specific cirumstances.
