WAYNE CO., GA (WTOC) – The Georgia Dept. of Transportation has a traffic planned in Wayne County at U.S. 84 and State Road 38.
The traffic shift is part of the staging plans for the widening and reconstruction project on US 84/SR 38, according to the DOT. The shift will begin at the intersection of State Road 38 and Sunset Boulevard and will place two-way traffic on the new eastbound lanes to Holmesville Road.
Traffic will be shifted into permanent alignment from Holmseville Road to State Road 203, according to the DOT.
Preparations for this shift will begin in the morning with traffic to be shifted around 1 p.m. on Oct. 26. Drivers should expect some travel delays while the DOT contractor is modifying striping to accommodate the traffic shift.
