SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - It was a sign of things to come.
As they do every week this time, the Savannah Quarterback Club handed down its weekly high school football honor to the area's top lineman and back of the week.
Only this time, the recipients for each award will line-up on opposites ends of the field this Friday night in one of region 3-A's premier match-ups.
Calvary linebacker Dominique Henfield earned lineman of the week honors, for his dominating performance against Savannah Christian. Henfield recorded 20 tackles, a fumble, while deflecting multiple passes.
Meanwhile, Country Day cornerback and wide receiver Kevin Blackburne averaged 27 yards per catch against Metter, scoring three touchdowns, also recording an interception.
