Police investigate shooting in midtown Savannah

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - One man was rushed to the hospital after a late night shooting in midtown Savannah.

Police responded to Reynolds Street near 32nd Street around 11:10 p.m. Monday night. They found a black man lying on the porch, suffering from two gunshot wounds.

The victim was taken to the hospital and into surgery. He is expected to recover. His name has not been released.

So far, investigators haven't named any suspects. If you know anything about the shooting call Crimestoppers at 234-2020.

    Subtropical Storm Alberto continues to bring heavy rain and a high risk for rip currents to the Gulf Coast.  Alberto is just west of Tampa and moving to north by northwest at 12mph.  Peak winds are 50 mph and no significant strengthening is expected as we head into Monday.
