Pre-K moms get pampered on Wilmington Island

WILMINGTON ISLAND, GA (WTOC) - It was a day of pampering for moms with little ones out on Wilmington Island.

For those with preschoolers, or even younger tykes, the First Baptist Church of the Islands was dishing out a free spa day, complete with facials, nail painting, haircuts, makeovers, massages and door prizes.

About 10 Savannah businesses offered their services for free to help these moms relax and renew some well deserved energy.

"Moms don't have a lot of time to pamper themselves while caring for little ones. So we do this once a year to give moms a chance to take care of themselves," Connie Helton, of the Islands Mothers of Preschoolers group, told WTOC.

This was the ninth year for the annual event.
