SC Lottery announces no sales, validations on election day

SOUTH CAROLINA (WTOC) - If you're looking to play the South Carolina lottery Tuesday, you'll have to wait.

The South Carolina Education Lottery announced there will be no ticket sales or validations on election day.

All lottery terminals will be off-line Tuesday, November 2. A South Carolina law prohibits the sale of all lottery products on statewide election days. Players who visit any of the lottery's claims centers on election day will have their winnings mailed to them.

Lottery tickets sales and validations will resume as normal Wednesday, November 3.
