RINCON, GA (WTOC) - Officials say turnout has been steady in Effingham County.
There were some lines Tuesday morning, but by afternoon officials say they thinned out.
Poll workers say the number of people turning out hasn't been extraordinary, but who is voting did get their attention.
"This year we have been seeing a lot of faces that we have never seen before. People who are registered, but who have not been voting. have been coming out to vote this year," Poll Manager Millie McRae said.
Only a few minor issues with voting machines have been reported, and managers say they were all quickly resolved.
