LUDOWICI, GA (WTOC) - Long County sheriff's detectives have spoken with a person of interest, but filed no charges in the stabbing death of a teen Friday night.
Denzel Richardson, 18, died outside of a convenience store on Georgia Highway 196 in the Sandhill community. Authorities are now waiting on the results of an autopsy conducted at the GBI crime lab Monday morning.
Over the weekend, detectives and GBI agents interviewed Daniel Williams, who they had identified as a person of interest. As of Monday afternoon, no charges had been filed in the case.
Investigators are also talking to witnesses of an argument between Richardson and a group of people prior to the stabbing.
