Chatham Emergency Response Training

Do you know what to do in case of emergency? Some people took they're first course on what to do, Monday night. The Chatham Emergency Response team are helping to train people for man made or natural disasters. Their first lesson, protecting your family in case of fire. Participants learned the right way to use a fire extinguisher, and why using them the wrong way can only make things worse.

Jackson Jones Jr. of CERTS said, "In some instances, there will be fires in some structures and minor small fires in some structures, we'll have to go ahead and extinguish them. This training will aid them in extinguishing those fires."

Our own Liz Flynn is taking the class. There are others scheduled through the summer. You can contact Chatham emergency management for more information.
