GSU sets new record for fall enrollment

STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) - Georgia Southern University reached a new record for fall semester enrollment.

Student enrollment for the fall semester was 19,691 students that's up 3.2 percent from fall 2009.

Georgia Southern University's student body includes students from 49 U.S. states and from 98 different countries worldwide

GSU also set a new record for graduate enrollment. Students pursuing a master's, specialist or doctorate degree totaled 2,647.  The school attributes the graduate enrollment increase to its first Ph.D. program in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and a new Master of Science in Computer Science degree program combined with popular online and campus-based programs in education and healthcare.
