Calvary Day students learn about proper flag handling

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Students at Calvary Day School are learning about patriotism.

Members of Hunter Army Airfield's 10th Transportation Company met with Calvary Day School's Junior Honor Guard to teach them about the importance of proper flag holding and handling.

There was aslo a special dedication for the couple who contributed the school's flag poles, Bob and Shirley Stewart.

These are new flag poles that Mr. and Mrs. Stewart gave to the school, which we to use to honor our school and country everyday," said Lower School Principal Louise Moore.

Every morning the school raises the American Flag, the State of Georgia flag and the Christian Flag.
