Editorial feedback - 11/15/10

Thank you for putting the finger right at the problem in your 11-15-10 editorial.

Is everybody so afraid to sound off when we see a problem?

We cannot even say the Pledge of Allegiance or fly the American flag? Truly amazing since the muslims stop traffic in NYC, to pray in the middle of the street.

This country is run by idiotic, self-centered politicians, or as you put it: anti-American elitists.

That alone would not be bad since we have elections.

The problem is a divided country. Too many uneducated people, most of them just waiting for a monthly check.

Well, this is not going to solve the problem.

Wake up America, go to the barricades or there will be no more U.S.A.

Get up! Speak up!  Wake up! Get involved! Get informed, and NO, not by gangster politicians.

Look up the Weimar Republic and know what you are talking about, and especially what came after that.

Thank you Mr. Cathcart!! It is so refreshing to hear someone speak with some common sense and American values!

How in the world did it become the norm not be proud of America and it's heros? It is particularly disturbing when it is politicians refusing to show gratitude. These are the people that are supposed to be public servants, an opportunity that is offered to them ONLY because of the Americans who have sacrificed in order to set up our government and keep us safe. It is so disgraceful! It is also stupid of voters to ever allow people like these to be placed in a position of power...if these politicians are willing to forget the people who DIED keeping this country, and them, safe..they will do the same thing to the people who voted them in. How many times do we see these people proceeding with their own personal agenda?

I think we all need to take the time on a daily basis to be thankful for the people who have sacrificed to keep this country safe. If it were not for these citizens, we would be living in a war-torn country with no rights. Not to mention all of the luxuries we are blessed to have (seriously, do you even know someone who doesn't own a cell phone?). We have become a country of spoiled children who have failed to be thankful for all that we have been given. We somehow have convinced ourselves we got this wonderful country on our own accord.

I sure hope you are right, that we can turn away from anti-American elitist contempt and back to AMERICA THE GREAT!!!
