More than 150 Marines from Beaufort are on their way to Japan tonight. They're members of the All-Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 224. They left earlier today from the Marine Corps Air Station in Beaufort. They'll join 24 Marines from their squadron who left on Friday. The Marines should arrive in Japan tomorrow afternoon. They're being deployed for six months. The Marines will replace the All-Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 122. Squadron 122 is due back in Beaufort later this week after spending a year in Japan.
