St. Andrew's Head of School resigns

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - St. Andrew's Head of School, Gil Webb, has given his resignation to the St. Andrew's Board of Trustees. His resignation is effective at the end of the 2010-2011 school year.

Webb has been with St. Andrew's for two years and plans to pursue other professional opportunities.

"Gil has brought to St. Andrew's more than 35 years of administrative experience, ideas, energy and expertise," said board chair Andy Powers in a news release. "Over the course of his tenure, and through difficult economic conditions, Gil has been able to produce impressive and significant achievements. It is truly with reluctance that we accept his resignation."

The board has created a search committee that will oversee the selection of a new Head of School. St. Andrew's is an independent, college prep school for grades Pre-K through 12. For more information, visit
