Season's greetings from the Lowcountry

BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) -Bluffton celebrated the Christmas season with carolers and of course the lighting of the town Christmas tree.

The big news of who will be the grand marshal of the town Christmas parade was also announced. The winner was Mrs. Ida Magwood-Martin, founder of Bluffton Self Help, a non-profit organization giving back to Bluffton for over two decades

Mrs. Magwood-Martin said, "Christmas time is a happy time for me. Just to see all the toys that people donated for the needy children, their parents are not able to get gifts for them and I thank all of them for doing that."

You can see Mrs. Martin for yourself as Bluffton's Christmas parade steps off Saturday morning at 11a.m., right in front of town hall.
