Veterans commemorate Pearl Harbor attack

POOLER, GA (WTOC) – Two days before the anniversary of Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor, the Savannah Council, Navy League of the United States, and the Fleet Reserve Association met to commemorate the infamous 1941 event.

A crowd gathered at the Mighty 8th Air Force Heritage Museum in Pooler to remember the attack that plunged America into World War II.

The program included patriotic readings and music, a ceremony, and a 21-gun salute.

A large number of WWII veterans and some Pearl Harbor survivors were in attendance.
