SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - A hard freeze warning remains in effect from 9 p.m. Monday to 9 a.m. Tuesday.
The warning has been issued for these Georgia counties: Appling, Bacon, Wayne, Glynn and Ware.
Monday night's temperatures will fall quickly after sunset to below freezing before midnight, according to the National Weather Service. Minimum temperatures will fall into the lower 20s inland with upper 30s along coastal areas and subfreezing temperatures are expected for 10 to 12 hours Monday night, according to NWS.
A hard freeze warning means that temperatures of less than 27 degrees are expected for at least two hours. A hard freeze watch means that temperatures of less than 27 degrees are possible for at least two hours.
